Knoxville-based reporter Jesse Fox Mayshark published a story recently after a visit to the UT Research Park at Cherokee Farm. Mayshark interviewed anthropology professor Kandace Hollenbach and her summer term students, who excavated a plot and presented their findings to the public last week.

“One of the benefits of being out here is that it’s accessible,” Hollenbach said. “We have lots of people who use the greenway and so lots of opportunities to share with the public what we’re doing and what archaeology is.”
