CEC, UT partnership benefits Zoo Knoxville

Zoo Knoxville plans a water systems upgrade for its elephant exhibit, and a partnership between Cherokee Farm Innovation Campus tenant CEC and students at the University of Tennessee Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering has started ideas flowing.

Following the students’ examination of the elephant exhibit’s systems and newer systems in the tiger and gibbon exhibits, the group presented preliminary ideas for the project in April. Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC) will begin designs for this real-world project later this year.
